Hi, I’m Monica Mizzi
…and I’m a digital and content marketing addict.

Yes, I’m truly obsessed with both writing and marketing! That’s why I’ve worked hard to build my freelance client base, and to make sure that every single project I work on leaves my clients happy.
Why I Do What I Do
You know how you meet people who say they love their work? Only you later see them posting on Facebook about how miserable they are (and how the snacks in the office are terrible)?
Well, I’m one of those people who genuinely loves what they do. I mean, how could I not, when I get to work with amazing clients who understand why marketing matters—but don’t have the time or skills to execute it themselves? It’s a win-win situation, as they get to see their business boom and I get to work on something I love.
To me, hearing (and seeing!) that I’ve made a positive impact on a client’s business is just one of the perks of my job. Plus, I find it fun to figure out the most ideal heading/words/meta data/slug/image to use for a given project. It’s certainly not everyone’s cup of tea, but it is mine!
Who I’ve Worked For
I’ve worked for everyone from national newspapers, to SaaS companies, to movie stars (well, just one—Jet Li!), to large content agencies.
I’ve also created landing pages for small businesses, sponsored blog posts promoting tourism for the Taiwanese Government, and have successfully scored backlinks from the BBC, Huffington Post, and CNBC – to name a few achievements.
As you can tell, I don’t like to box myself in. I think every industry and company can benefit from powerful content and a comprehensive SEO strategy. So why would I want to just limit my work to one?
Writing targeted content and advising individuals and businesses on how to successfully optimize their websites are two areas I have been told I have a special knack for. For example, when I was a regular writer for JetLi.com (now under construction), my very first article quickly ranked the most read on the site. I was commended by their editorial team for my consistently strong articles, and my work was given to other freelancers as an example of exemplary work.
But why not take a look at my work for yourself? You can see some of my achievements by heading over to my freelance digital marketing and writing portfolio.
Making the Leap to Full-Time Freelancing
I made the leap to full-time freelance writing and marketing a year and half a year ago, and I must say, it’s the best decision I ever made. I know this sounds trite because everyone loves saying that about switching to full-time freelancing.
But this decision honestly transformed my life. Instead of needing to listen to “higher ups” who knew nothing about marketing, or being bound to a desk, I can now action the marketing strategies I know will work based on testing and experience. Plus, now my desk is anywhere I want it to be!
My Digital Marketing Background
Previous to full-time freelancing, I was (somehow?!) holding down a full-time and freelancing at every opportunity I got. I’d work during my lunch times, after work, and on the weekends because I loved freelancing that much.
The last full-time job I had was at the cryptocurrency exchange, Cobinhood, where I worked as an Online Marketing Manager. I was responsible for establishing and progressing the SEO strategy for not only Cobinhood.com, but also the decentralized blockchain platform, Dexon.org.
I implemented innovative ways to improve the rankings of target keywords, generated high-quality backlinks, crafted SEO-optimized landing pages, and added new life to existing content. In just a couple of months, I ranked a number of target keywords #1, as well as others on the first page of Google.
(I am still incredibly fascinated by the potential of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, so I love working with crypto companies to boost their content and copy strategy.)
Before working at Cobinhood, I worked as an Associate Marketing Manger at a venture studio. There, I wrote and curated original SEO-optimized content and key landing pages, as well as strengthened the SEO through link building, copywriting, guest posting, keyword optimization, social media marketing, and maintenance of the company’s many WordPress CMS systems.
It was really enjoyable working on not one, but many websites simultanetously, namely Compose.ly, ResumeCompanion.com, ResumeGenius.com, WeddingDresses.com, FreelanceWriting.com, and LegalTemplates.net.
So, How Do We Start Work Together?
Glad you asked! Just fill out my contact form or shoot me an email at monicammizzi[@]gmail.com. We can figure out the next steps together.
Alternatively, if you would rather work with a team of experts, consider working with the digital marketing agency, Disruptive Digital Marketing. I founded it to address the lack of digital marketing agencies that have both the experience and enthusiasm to achieve their clients’ aims.
So, whether you’re just umming and ahhing about improving your digital marketing strategy, or you have a clear vision of what you want to achieve, don’t hesitate to get in touch. I can give you the expert guidance you need to get your site ranking and converting.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
